RESUMEN
In the summer of 1969 as integrated geophysical program for disseminated sulfides was carried out in the Round Pond and Retreat Lake grids located in the Makkovik Bay Area of Labrador.
Precmabrian sedimentary and volcanic rocks occur in the are, and geochemical prospecting has revealed showings of many sulfide minerals and uranium.
Magnetics, ground E.M., and I.P. surveys were carried out in both grids in order to establish the possible existence of disseminated sulfides (molybdenum-cooper mineralization), and to locate favourable sites for diamond drilling. The interpretation of the field results of these geophysical surveys is the bulk of this thesis.
Responses obtained using various geophysical methods are correlated. Finally, diamond drilling results are compared with the goephysical interpretation for Round Pond grid.
