Estado Falcón
González de Juana (1938-a, b) describió originalmente al Grupo Tacal. Senn (1940), Liddle (1946) y Wheeler (1960, 1963) se refirieron a la Formación Tacal.
Guevara (1967) la consideró como sinónimo de las formaciones La Victoria y Jarillal y recomendó su invalidez.
