Liddle (1928, p. 318-319) mentions beds at the locality known as Ojo de Agua, in the foothills south of Dabajuro, in western Falcón, that are not to be confused with Ojo de Agua formation of eastern Falcón. The beds exposed at Ojo de Agua in western Falcón are regarded as Urumaco and Socorro.

The name Ojo de Agua for designating these beds is not valid because it is a homonym of the name Ojo de Agua formation of eastern Falcón.
