Original description: none published.

Liddle (1928, p. 343; 1946, p. 434) referred to an Agüide limestone as a synonyn of Capadare limestone. It is a said to be well exposed at Agüide, district of Acosta, Falcón, but it is known that no rocks occur at this locality that could be correlated with the Capadare limestone, neither on the basis og lithology nor paleontology. The term Agüide limestone is eliminated as a valid stratigraphic unit.
